Richard D. Goodman has been a member of the RUSH Marine, LLC team since January 2021. As Senior Safety Specialist, Goodman supports RUSH Safety Management by providing site safety supervision to the project management team, and assisting with the planning and development of submittals.
With comprehensive experience in civil and marine safety, Richard has previously worked on DOT, NAVFAC and USACE construction projects. He has a knowledge of continuous preparation with NAVFAC P-307 Crane Regs, EM 385-1-1, and OSHA CFR 1926 Construction Rules, and is also a NCCER Master Trainer for Rigging and Core Curriculum certification. Additionally, Goodman is qualified as an OSHA 500, 10, and 30-hour trainer, as well as an ASHI Firstaid/CPR Trainer.

Richard became familiar with the company while working with the RUSH project safety team as a subcontractor. Appreciating the quality of the RUSH Management Team, he confidently applied to join the team when a position became available. “It is great to be appreciated, and it is nice to walk into the headquarters stress free, in anticipation for the next challenge,” says Goodman.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Richard grew up in St. Mary’s, GA. He and his wife, Joyce, have two sons, four grandchildren, and a sailboat, which he plans to live abroad on a project. A Florida State fan (“Go Noles!”) and an avid traveler, Goodman has toured Normandy, Bastion and the Eagles Nest with a tour guide he met on an American Legion Tour. He was preparing for a trip to Scotland and Ireland to tour the area’s historic distilleries before COVID-19 hit, and looks forward to his next international adventure.
